When planning your home extension in the Cotswolds, we will assess accessibility, existing drainage and ground levels prior to works taking place.
Once works start we can remove and dispose of any existing structure which may be in the place of where the required extension is going to be located.
Excavation and removal of spoil will then start and footings will be checked for required depth (approval by building control)
We will then proceed with any drainage if needed prior to concrete being poured for footings. Once footings are poured and given time to set, this then allows us to have a masonry gang on site to erect substructure and bring the build up to DPC level. The required membranes with then be installed and sub base (concrete slab) poured in, ready for the next stage of the build.
Once all the preparation work has been completed, we then move on to the super structure ready for the interior blockwork and external block/brick work to be erected.
Depending on the project and approved plans we would then install either a cut roof which could be a pitched or flat roof or a truss roof with various different coverings offered.
Any windows and doors ranging from UPVC, wood, aluminium would then be installed by one of our professionals.

Once the build is dry, we then move onto the internal works.
The first stage internally would be to lay required membranes along with PIR insulations ready for any underfloor heating and screed.
Once screeded all stud framing/walls can then be cut and installed ready to take plasterboard along with the install of any door linens.
We then move onto first fix plumbing and electrics, cabling and pipe work would need installing before any boarding.
Now that all pipework and cabling is installed the plaster boarding and plasterwork would be carried out and given time to dry.
Once dry, second fix carpentry can commence so architraves, skirting, windows boards, doors, stairs etc can all be installed.
As we start approaching the end of the build we then move onto decorating, plumbing and electrics.
The decorators will mist coat all ceilings and walls and prime any timber work. They would then move onto top coating to make ready for second fix electrics and plumbing.
Any second fix plumbing such as a bathroom install, hanging of radiators etc, is carried out and pressure tested.
We then move onto electrics, second fix can be carried out, lights, sockets, switches all installed and tested.
As the build nears the end we would then do our own snagging lists, touch up any paint work and give a deep clean before we walk out the door and hand over the keys to another happy client.
